6.2-magnitude earthquake hit the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region today at 4:11 pm, the tremors of which were felt in north India.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Afghanistan, near the Tajikistan border.
The tremors were felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi NCR.

Most of Jammu and Kashmir, including capital Srinagar, the Kashmir Valley, and areas in Jammu, as well as Himachal Pradesh's Khajjiar, Kulli and Shimla experienced tremors.
Tremors were also felt in New Delhi and its surrounding areas of Gurgaon and Noida.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.
The initial magnitude of the earthquake was 6.2 and it struck 36 kilometers northwest of Ishkashim, Tajikistan.
